How it works

Hover over any assistant message and click the split icon. A new session is created that copies everything up to that point — messages, file uploads, and live artifacts — and a clickable divider shows exactly where the branch begins. Your original conversation continues untouched.

Why it matters

When you're working through a complex problem, you often want to try two approaches in parallel: ask a different model, give different instructions, or explore a creative tangent. Session branching lets you do that without copy-pasting context or starting from scratch.
