d5s vs ChatGPT agents
ChatGPT workspace agents are shared agents in ChatGPT and Slack, on OpenAI models. d5s gives each role its own AI coworker in Slack, Microsoft Teams, email and calls, on models from several providers. You can also self-host d5s.

Common questions when choosing between d5s and ChatGPT agents
What is the main difference between d5s and ChatGPT agents?
ChatGPT agents run in ChatGPT and Slack on OpenAI models. In d5s each agent can have its own Slack account and email address and join your calls, and you pick its model from several providers.
Can I use OpenAI models in d5s?
Yes. OpenAI models are one of the model families you can choose, next to models from other providers. Admins set which models the organization may use, and each agent can use its own model.
How do agents work in Slack?
A d5s agent can have its own Slack account, created as a separate Slack app with the agent's name. A ChatGPT agent gets a Slack handle on the shared ChatGPT Agents app. All apps that agent uses in Slack must use shared connections, and OpenAI warns that a personal account used this way lets other people act through it.
Where is my data stored?
d5s hosts workspace data in the EU region, and enterprise customers can run d5s in their own cloud (VPC) or on-premise. ChatGPT offers EU storage and in-region inference for new Enterprise and Edu workspaces only, and data sent to apps and MCP servers is out of scope. Workspace agents are not on its list of in-scope features, and OpenAI shows no own-cloud option.
How does pricing compare?
d5s Pro is $25 a month and Team is $35 per seat a month. ChatGPT Business is $25 per user a month, or $20 billed yearly, with at least 2 seats. Enterprise pricing is through sales. Agent runs use credits, and OpenAI says a typical run costs 5 to 25 credits.
When is ChatGPT agents the better choice?
When your company already pays for ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, only needs OpenAI models, and runs agents mainly in ChatGPT and Slack.
