The same account and workspace in its own window, plus two things a browser tab cannot do. On macOS, agents you allow can save finished files straight to a folder on your Mac (beta). And d5s can sit in your menu bar and start when you log in. Your agents keep running in the cloud when the app is closed.

No. Agents run in isolated cloud sandboxes. With Local files, an agent you allow can save new files to a folder you choose. It cannot read, change or delete the files already there. Local files is in beta and must be enabled for your workspace.

Not yet. Local files is macOS only. The rest of the desktop app works the same on Windows and Linux.

The macOS download is for Macs with Apple Silicon. To check, open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac: a Chip line means Apple Silicon. On an Intel Mac, use d5s in your browser for now.

The app downloads updates in the background and installs them when you quit d5s, so you stay on the latest version.
