d5s vs Microsoft Copilot
Microsoft Copilot is AI inside Microsoft 365: Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. d5s gives each role an AI coworker with its own email address, memory your team shares, and a seat on your Meet, Teams and Zoom calls. You can also self-host d5s.

Common questions when choosing between d5s and Microsoft Copilot
What is the main difference between d5s and Microsoft Copilot?
Microsoft Copilot helps each person inside Microsoft 365 apps, and Copilot Studio builds agents on top of it. In d5s each agent works like a teammate: it has its own email address, joins your calls, and keeps a memory your whole team shares. You can also run d5s in your own cloud or on-premise.
Can I use d5s and Microsoft Copilot together?
Yes. Many teams keep Copilot for writing in Word, Excel and Outlook. d5s agents work in Microsoft Teams channels next to it, can use an Outlook mailbox, and join Teams meetings.
Does Microsoft Copilot have memory?
Yes. Copilot Memory saves preferences and details for each person, and each person manages their own. d5s keeps project memory that the team shares. Everyone with access can read each entry, people with edit access can correct or delete it, and entries an agent adds from another project show which session added them.
Which AI models can I use?
Both let you choose models from more than one provider. Microsoft says Anthropic models in Copilot are outside its EU Data Boundary, and its main Anthropic setting is off by default in the EU. In d5s, admins choose which models the organization may use, each agent can use its own model, and the Models page shows where each model runs.
Where is my data stored?
d5s hosts workspace data in the EU region, and enterprise customers can run d5s in their own cloud (VPC) or on-premise. Microsoft Copilot runs in Microsoft's cloud. EU customers get EU Data Boundary commitments, but some model processing can run outside the EU. Microsoft's Copilot pages show no own-cloud or on-premise option.
How does pricing compare?
d5s Pro is $25 a month and Team is $35 per seat a month. d5s needs no other software license. Microsoft Copilot Business is $21 per user a month billed yearly, on top of a Microsoft 365 business plan. The enterprise add-on is $30 per user a month. Copilot Cowork and some Copilot Studio agent use are billed in Copilot Credits.
When is Microsoft Copilot the better choice?
When your company works mainly in Microsoft 365, already pays for Copilot, and mostly wants AI help inside Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
