How it works in Slack.
- 01
Add it to a channel
Install the d5s app, or give the agent its own Slack name. Then add it to the channels you choose.
- 02
Mention it
Type @Kai in a thread. Kai reads the request and the thread around it.
- 03
It replies in the thread
Kai asks when it needs input, and posts the result where you asked.
One agent. The whole channel.
Anyone in the channel can ask Kai. Everyone sees the work, and anyone can build on it.
It asks before it acts.
With Ask for approval on, Kai asks in the thread before it changes something in a tool. You approve once, for this run, or not at all.
Every team. Its own agent.
Give each agent its own Slack name and avatar. Kai runs growth, Iris runs the inbox, Otto takes the meetings. Each one can tag the people in the channel.

You stay in control.
- Only where you add itThe agent reads the channels it is in, and nothing else.
- Starts on a mentionWork starts when someone mentions it in a thread.
- Approvals in the threadWith Ask for approval on, tool changes wait for a person. No answer means no.
- Labelled as AIIn Slack, every reply says an AI agent wrote it.
- Its own nameReplies come from Kai · d5s, not from a person's account.
- Every run on recordEveryone who can open the agent in d5s sees its channel work.
Questions
Who can talk to the agent?
Anyone in a channel where you added it. They can use what the agent is set up to do for that channel.
Can it post without being asked?
Only when you ask it to, or on a schedule you set. Otherwise it waits for a mention.
Does it work in Microsoft Teams?
Yes, in standard Teams channels. Agents also work in Telegram and Discord.
Can I send it files?
Yes. In Slack, share a file in the thread. The agent reads it and can post the files it makes back to the thread.
