Common questions when choosing between d5s and Lindy

What is the main difference between d5s and Lindy?

Lindy gives each person a private assistant and the team one shared Lindy in Slack. d5s gives each role its own agent, with its own Slack account, email address, model and daily budget, in Slack, Microsoft Teams and a workspace your team shares.

Can agents join meetings?

Yes, in both. A d5s agent can join Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom calls and keep a live transcript and notes. Lindy's notetaker joins Google Meet, Zoom and Teams calls as a named participant, then writes a summary and follow-ups.

Where is my data stored?

d5s stores workspace data in the EU. Enterprise customers can also run d5s in their own cloud or on-premise. Lindy's security page says residency requirements are supported, but we found no hosting region named on its pages, and no self-hosting.

How do approvals compare?

In d5s each tool action is Allow, Ask or Deny, and a conversation starts in Ask. Lindy sets guardrails per integration. Its docs say guardrails apply in shared Slack threads only, while its home page says write actions always wait for approval.

How does pricing compare?

d5s Pro is $25 a month and Team is $35 per seat a month. Lindy bills every active user, from $29.99 a month, and everyone on the workspace shares one pool of credits.

When is Lindy the better choice?

When each person wants a personal assistant for email, calendar and meeting prep, wants to text it over iMessage or SMS, or needs a HIPAA BAA on an Enterprise plan.
