How a connection works.
Example: Gmail.

  1. Connect the account

Sign in with Google, or paste an API token for tools that use one. The connection belongs to your workspace. Turn it off for any agent that should not use it.

  2. Choose what needs your OK

Each action has one of three settings. Allow: the agent does it alone. Ask: it waits for your OK. Deny: it never does it. Out of the box, reading is Allow and anything that sends or changes data is Ask.

  3. The agent works, then stops at the change

It searches the inbox, reads the thread and writes the reply. When it reaches a send, it waits for you.

  4. Approve, edit or reject

The card shows the exact recipients, subject and text. Change the text if you want, then Approve & send. Decide in d5s or in the agent's Slack thread.

Questions
and answers.

What is a connector in d5s?

A connector gives an AI agent access to a tool, such as Gmail or Slack, through a workspace connection. You choose what each agent can read and change.

Which actions need my approval?

By default, anything that sends, posts or changes data. The agent prepares the action and waits for your OK. Reading runs on its own. You can change this for each action: Allow lets the agent act alone, Ask waits for you, Deny blocks it.

Does connecting a tool give every agent access?

By default, a workspace connection is available to chats, automations and most agents. Turn it off for any project or agent that should not use it. Connecting an account does not authorize every action.

Can I connect a tool that is not listed?

Yes. Connect any MCP server or HTTPS API as a custom connector, with the same permissions and approvals.

Start with one agent.
